Hey everyone! How was your weekend? Who caught the series finale of Breaking Bad? I am so bummed the show is over. I want to spill my thoughts on the finale but don't want to ruin it for those of you who haven't seen it yet.

Today's look is all about red. Red is one of those power girl colors, like throwing on red lipstick, you can't help but feel a little glam :) You can vote here for my second XOXO look for a chance to win a $600 gift card.

I wanted to thank you all for the sweet wishes about the new addition to the fam! Moto pieces are one of the biggest trends for Fall 2013 and we are seeing the trend carry through Spring. Completely in love with the zipper details in each of these AG pieces.

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Suede Love

So I actually made this board awhile ago and fell in love with these suede Alexander Wang boots so much I splurged and got them. I think I have worn them almost everyday. I've been surprised how they go with almost everything from dresses and skirts to jeans and leather pants.

I'm so excited to share the news with you all, I'm Pregnant
Honestly it's been a little bit of a roller coaster of emotions, excitement, lots of being sick, nervousness, a little more being sick, and pure joy. My clothes are quickly shrinking, but I couldn't be more thrilled for this new chapter in our life.

This is my first time being pregnant (my other two babies are my step kids) so I feel a little like the clueless pregnant lady [so all you experienced moms out there if you have any pregnancy tips, I'm all ears!] I have so many fears and so many things I'm already looking forward to. Mara and Wes are so excited to have a little sister/brother. Mara especially, has already started picking out clothes (she's convinced its a girl) and giving me her food at every meal "to see if the baby likes it".

It has really become one of those indescribable emotions I feel almost cliche trying to type and explain: hearing the heart beat, seeing the little baby for the first time. It's all pretty special once you get past the "is this real?" factor :)

Thanks so much for following along. I'll be sure to share more in the days and weeks ahead!

Empire State of Mind NYFW

Clover Canyon Dress / BB Dakota Jacket (now on sale) / Sigerson Morrrison Heels (similar here) / Marc Jacobs Bag / ILY earrings

Wrapping up the last couple looks of Fashion Week. My camera actually broke (again) so I only got a couple shots of the outfit before it crashed.
One of my favorite things about NYC is walking down the narrow streets looking up and gazing at all the rows and rows of skyscrapers. It's the small town girl in a big city feel, as I pretend to be a part of the busy little metropolis.

Make sure and check back tomorrow I have some exciting news!

Day 3 NYFW Spring 2013

DETAILS:
Parker Dress / Haute Hippie Jacket / Valentino Bag / Kurt Geiger Heels (similar here) / ILY Earrings

It feels so good to be home so I can sit down and share more of the events from the trip. This was my first year attending runway shows so I felt like a kid going in a candy shop, amazed by all the dresses, high fashion, and herds of people. Day three was one of the busier days. I previewed Malan Breton, Venexiana, and Herve Leger Spring/Summer collections. The Herve Leger show was by far a highlight. It was so packed with people and had an A list of attenders from Giuliana Rancic, Nicki Minaj, and Katie Cassidy to supermodel Petra Nemcova. I was totally star struck by Giuliana, her reality show is one of my faves :)

The collections were gorgeous. Venexiana had lush feathers and exaggerated ruffles. The detail on each of these gowns was like a piece of art.

Venexiana

Herve Leger brought edgy zippers and dramatic wastes paired with leather into his Spring Line. Leather being one of my favorites to wear, I was excited to see this trend carry into Spring pieces. The stand out look was this little fringe number in the middle. Immediately everyone's phones were in the air trying to snap the perfect shot of this look.

4. Leopard Bag (on sale)

Clover Canyon has become one of my new favorite brands. The quality and fit of their dresses is amazing. It is some of the softest material. It feels like you are wearing comfy work out clothes. I'm hoping to get a couple more of their pieces for Fall.

Fashion Week Day 1

I'm back! It has been a fun couple days in NYC and I'm finally sitting down to take a few minutes to share the looks. We caught the red eye last Wednesday and I literally didn't sleep for 36 hours. I was a bit tired to say the least.

The first day I was visiting showrooms and going to meetings for ILY so I wore a more basic look. Nichole Miller was for sure a highlight. We were able to go back in their studio and see the process of how the pieces are made. It was so incredible.

How are you all? Life has been a little busy the last couple days. Fashion Week is suddenly here, and packing is my enemy.

When someone finds the key to balance please fill me in. I love the chaos, really I think I thrive on it but somedays it's more challenging than others. I'm only a part time mom and I still struggle. I know so many of you ladies out there are multitasking, balancing it all and I realized somedays you have to be okay not getting it all done. Let the dishes go undone, skip a blog post, let the laundry pile up another day. At the end of the day family and friends are what matters. Take a night off and cuddle up with the fam, go out on that girl's night you keep postponing, schedule that pedi you need, take time to refresh so your not overwhelmed.
It's a constant reminder I need, it's okay to just let it go sometimes :)
