I always get tons of questions about my skincare routine and beauty products. Now that summer is over and we are gearing up for winter, I feel like your skin needs even more TLC. I’ve been using Vichy for over a year and a lot of their products continue to be some of my skincare favorites. I have really sensitive skin so I wanted to share some of those skincare issues we’ll all face this season and some go-to fixes.

1. Stress: Sure stress is a year-round problem, but with less sunshine and vitamin D, stress seems to take a stronger toll more during fall and winter. With the rush of the holidays coming up and the busy season for work, I’ve been feeling overwhelmed lately and have noticed the stress really affects my skin. I love Mineral 89 for a good face moisturizer that also has Vichy’s 15 mineral-rich Thermal Water and Hyaluronic Acid for some extra hydration that will help balance your skin during those high-stress seasons. Mineral 89 is a 100% transparent gel formula that can be used as the first step in your routine, or as a stand-alone moisturizer (it’s paraben and oil-free).

2. Dry skin: With the weather drying out, you should be hydrating regularly. That means extra water and never skipping your face moisturizer, but for your moisturizer to work properly you need to make sure you’re exfoliating to get rid of dead skin build up so your moisturizer is more effective. I’ve been using Vichy’s Double Glow Peel Face Mask – it has a volcanic rocks and AHA fruit acids to gently remove dead skin cells, and I’m obsessed with how soft it leaves your skin.

3. Pollution: Living in a valley, there is really bad pollution here in Salt Lake. There are always so many factors you have to pay attention to with skin that I didn’t ever think pollution was one of the main ones, but my dermatologist told me that the air is so bad here that everyone’s skin is more prone to fine lines and other issues because of the pollution. The inversion always gets worse in the winter so I’ve been making a more concerted effort to use products that protect the skin. Mineral 89 has been great and I also really love Vichy’s Micellar Water, which is a 3-in-1 product to remove makeup, purify and soothe skin and gently remove impurities and pollutants from the skin. I’ve been using the Micellar Water and Vichy’s Makeup Remover interchangeably for over a year and they’re my all-time favorites!

4. Lack of sleep: My skin is always the first tell of a late night or early morning, so Vichy’s Idealia line (all about brightening!) is perfect for those sleepless nights. I love the Radiance Boosting Serum and Energizing Day Cream – they are full of antioxidants so this line evens skin tone, smoothes fine lines, and provides 24-hour hydration while infusing skin with a healthy glow.

Beautiful photos, such a sweethearts! I liked this skin care orientated post. Stress and pollution are such big hazards to our health and overall skin condition.

Thanks for these skin tips! I’ve never looked into that product much but it’s definitely something I need to check out. My skin is more oily, sensitive and so diet is a key factor in maintaining my complexion. I never think about how pollution can make such an impact.
