I am new to your blog (thanks Pinterest!). How refreshing to read your take on this — I also work part time from home.

What I’ve learned about motherhood is that each working/stay at home scenario comes with its own unique set of challenges and different “guilt”! On our scenario, like you stated, every day is different. Sometimes the work/kids balance is perfect and sometimes it shits one way or another, but all in all I consider myself lucky to have the best of both worlds!

I love this! You have a great attitude and I can so relate to trying to keep things in perspective! There’s so much to be grateful for and we all want to do our best in every facet of our lives, but life is busy! So it’s challenging! I also try to be present and give my daughter as much quality time as possible but I work tons so it takes effort for sure. The most worthwhile effort! I think it’s an invaluable lesson to show our kids that we can work hard, be the best mom we can be, and still try to be our best self, inside and out!

Hi! I really enjoyed this post. I can relate to this so much. I also work from home and have 2 young children and often hear “must be nice to sit around.” It can be frustrating to hear, but I try not to let it get to me. I focus on what is truly important. Thank you for sharing…very inspirational!

Such a great post! I often feel guilty about working full time, but I also love that I get some adult time to flex my brain! I have the utmost respect for moms that stay at home full time (“working” or not) as I’m pretty sure I couldn’t do it! You are pretty much my favorite blogger ever because you share some of the not so perfect times with us and the reality is so much better than fantasy! Thanks for being such an inspiration!
