These white boucle accent swivel chairs are at the top of the list for my must-haves and have been a bestseller this past year – for good reason!  They are SO spacious and comfy to lounge in. They are an amazing look for less of a Pottery Barn chair I was eyeing for years that was over $1,300! We have 2 in our primary bedroom and hang out on them all the time. They have held up so well for the past year and I recommend them to everyone I know!  We styled them with this storage ottoman which matches perfectly and is so nice to store blankets, etc inside. It also now comes in green, charcoal (on sale under $200!) and a fawn beige color. If you are looking for an accent chair for anywhere in your house – you really can’t beat this white swivel chair, its under $300!!

I was craving an entryway refresh last year and this oak sideboard console table was the perfect solution. I love how bright the wood color on it is – it really lightened up the space and I love that there’s plenty of storage inside of it. We love and use it in our entry way, but it would be a great media table in a living room or side table in a bedroom as well. I can’t believe I am saying this but even during the freezing winter right now, the new year makes me already feel spring approaching!  Now is the time to start thinking about styling your patio and front porch. There’s nothing better than a bright and colorful outdoor refresh after a freezing cold and dark winter!  I found these white planters last year and they quickly sold out.  They are such a nice, large size and under $30!!  I styled them with little trees and this year might plant some bright flowers in some. They are such a good find and will probably sell out quickly again this year!

With summer right around the corner, I finally pulled the trigger on linen bedding for our bedroom. It was the perfect push for a spring reset to get our bedroom feeling more zen and peaceful. So I wanted to share a few things I did that are easy hacks to make your bedroom feel as relaxing as a spa. (I also still haven’t shared my full bedroom but linking to almost everything below!)

This throw blanket was a birthday present… from me to me. 😂 I had my eye on it for what felt like forever! Love the print and colors on the bed, couch, really anywhere!

Our view is probably my favorite thing about the house. Love all the light that comes in throughout the day, but especially at sunset!

LINENS/BEDDING: LINEN BEDDING | THROW BLANKET |

1. LINEN SHEETS

There’s nothing like a new set of sheets! I had been wanting linen sheets for years, but every time I felt a set of linen sheets in store like at Target or something it always felt kind of stiff. I’d been hearing about these forever and finally tried them out and now I get the linen craze. They are sooooo soft and cozy! Make me want to stay in bed forever! 2. KEEP IT NEUTRAL

While we’re talking linens, let’s talk color scheme. There’s nothing I love more than a pretty palette to bring a relaxing, clean energy to a space! I’ve usually kept my bedding all white and neutral, but with these sheets you can actually mix and match different colors for the sheets, duvets, shams, etc. So I decided to mix a cream and white and love how it came together! It feels really high-end and expensive and I love the neutrals tones together. They have tons of pretty colors that all look good together – I think keeping a neutral or at least muted color palette goes a long way in bringing that spa mood to the bedroom.

3. LIGHT A SPRING CANDLE

Candles are a must for me. I love having candles lit throughout the house and get so excited to try a new candle or burn a new scent for the season. I just got this AM-PM candle set and they set the perfect vibe throughout the day – they have a candle ‘Wake’, ‘Magic Hour’, ‘Dusk’, and ‘Nightcap’. I love the scents and they aren’t too feminine or masculine – so perfect for a shared bedroom (and on sale 10% off + $20 off with code: ANDREW20).  I also just bought this candle again after I got down to the end of my last one – one of my favorite! Also love this fig scented candle and this lime and basil scented candle.

4. SPRITZ SOME FABRIC SPRAY

This is one of those little luxuries that goes a long way. I love everything by this brand, but especially their fabric spray. I always use it on our sheets – it’s the best scent and makes me feel like we’re in a hotel. One of the best ways to make your room feel relaxing! I’ll even spray it on our couches and chairs for a spring cleaning boost. Another tip I found to keep my sheets and bed smelling fresh is to wash them with some essential oils like this lavender one.

5. FLOWERS

Last but not least, it’s hard to top a pretty vase of flowers. Peony season just started so I can’t wait to get some fresh blooms on my nightstand – this faux arrangement is the perfect solution between fresh flower days thought – one of my favorite purchases for the room.

Spring is all about the colors! Especially after what feels like an endless winter, I catch myself craving more color than usual! I put together a little spring tablescape for the kids to brighten up their day and love how it turned out! Wish I could have my table set up every day (especially when fresh flowers are involved 😍) Here are a few tips to add some color to your Easter tablescape.

DON’T PICK JUST ONE:

Don’t feel like you need to limit yourself to just one color or a simple palette. Spring is all about pastels and colors – it’s the best excuse to go all out and incorporate as much color as you want. Think all pastels – the more pastel tones you can bring in, the more it will feel like spring. I loved these plaid napkins that we used as place mats – I just folded them once instead of multiple times to make a large rectangle for the place mat. I loved the color tones and plaid print (Also on sale under $10 for a set of 4!), they accented the gingham napkins so good!!

MIX & MATCH:

Spring is the best opportunity to buy sets in multiple colors, making it the perfect time to mix and match your decor for a perfectly mismatched tablescape. I got these gingham napkins that come in a pretty lavender, blush, mint, and blue and also these cute bunny ear napkin rings that the kids loved. Instead of matching them up for each place setting, I mixed it up so there was even more color at each seat.

LET THE TREATS DO THE TALKING:

One of the most seamless ways to bring in color is with your treats. Think pink lemonade, colorful fruits, and yummy spring candies. It’s a great way to have your treats do double duty – both as decor and something yummy to munch on before (or after 🙂 you eat. This candy set is so cute and the cake bites are addicting!

ADD FLORAL ACCENTS:

Adding a pretty vase of flowers is always a no brainer, but add little sprigs of flowers as accents to your plates or food. Wildflowers I feel like are such an underrated flower, and they add so much to a table. The little clusters look so cute as an accent to the bunny ears, and we pulled a couple mini daisies off to add to the lemon slices and yogurt and I love how it just adds that feminine touch :).

How much has Ollie grown this year 🥺🥺

The first thing I picked for this space was this tile. When we were building I really wanted beautiful patterned tile everywhere haha I’m a sucker for cool tile! But as we really started to nail down decor, we settled on a few little accent details through out our home. The laundry room is a really safe place to have fun with pattern or color.  I love the pretty blue tone that feels really bright and clean.  I’m so happy with how it turned out! The majority of our home is really neutral, so it was fun to bring in some blue in such a bold way!

We don’t get natural light in this room we went with 2 of these chandeliers. I can’t find them in stock anywhere (they were from Wayfair, I’ll keep an eye out if they come back in stock) but found this one that’s super similar. A few weeks ago I switched out the bulbs from a warm bulb to a brighter watt with white light and it’s night and day difference. These were ones I got and love. Wish I had done it earlier!

From the beginning design process I wanted to try to set up as much storage and organization as possible.  Obviously I don’t have a foolproof system because if you’ve seen my insta stories its still a mess a lot of times haha, but a couple organization things I love. The tall drawers next to the sink have dirty hampers for Cody, mine and the kids clothes. Each drawer has two bins, one for darks and one for whites (I also LOVE the brass and lucite pulls on these drawers!) For clean laundry, we got these lined baskets and added these gold label hooks to them for the kids. So when I’m organizing the clean laundry I throw all their stuff in each basket for them to put away.  I also love these apothecary jars to hold things like detergent, pods – basically whatever products you use that has packaging that doesn’t flow with your color scheme. 😂  For some of my other go-to laundry brands that are a little more aesthetically pleasing (love Laundress & Honest Baby), I love displaying them and setting them out with more intention. You might not think to put your pretty trays and baskets in the laundry where most people will never see them, but whether you hate to do laundry room or already love it, adding some decor brings a totally different energy and will change the game.

I started setting up out front porch this week! I found these wreaths on sale (under $30 right now with code: SHOPNOW). It’s my first time adding a wreath and I actually love how it turned out! One of my favorite parts of fall is all the yummy candles. Nothing gets me more in the mood for fall than the smell of a good fall candle – I went in-store to find some good new scents and I’m obsessed with this cinnamon spice cookie one! I’ve been burning this candle non-stop this week and our house has been in full fall mode. Also discovered the new Expressie nail polish which dries super fast – obsessed with these fall shades! I have come to really love home decor but if you guys have followed me for a while, you know it’s a process with me – I have to visualize everything and pretty much see it all come together before I can make the final call. When it comes to the kids rooms, it’s such a self-expression of who they are so I want it to be a warm representation of them. This year Mara has really grown into a teenager. It’s crazy looking at her first day and last day of school pictures for 6th grade! Her favorite colors right now are pink, mint, and blue; she loves the beach, Vans, art, playing kitchen or teacher with her brothers, and now is officially in that makeup phase! We wanted to put together a room that had a little bit of everything and I’m in love with how it turned out. She helped me with pieces along the way, but we surprised her when I got most of it set up and blindfolded her to take her in for the room reveal. It was so special seeing her face light up when she saw it.

The first piece I decided on that kind of set the tone for the rest of the color palette was this rug from Pottery Barn Teen. The colors are so happy (and all her favorite colors). I love how bright it makes the space and the endless options it brought to bring accent colors throughout the rest of the room. The second piece I pulled the trigger on was her bed. The velvet is so pretty and will be able to grow with her during her teenage years (comes in multiple colors like pink too!) I also wanted to have a little seating area for the kids to hangout together and love this sectional! It has multiple color options and it’s a great size for kids rooms.

We also had so much fun picking out her decor and accessories! I know Mara is almost a teenager, but one of the things I love about her so much is she is so imaginative, she still loves to play make believe games: house, barbies, kitchen, etc. – she is so creative. When she saw this kitchen she was SO excited about it because it looks almost the exact same to our kitchen, the hardware and farmhouse sink. The kids play with it probably EVERY single time they come over. Ollie now loves to just sit and open and close the cabinet doors and pull everything out. It makes my heart so happy watching them play in there.

For her bedding we got this comforter set we found (comes in 7 colors) but wanted something a little more fun and patterned for the sheets and love this gummy bear print at PBTeen! They have tons of the best sheet prints – this one is similar and how good is this colorful leopard print? I love all the colorful beach vibe prints for a great way to tie in more colors throughout the room. Another one of my favorite pieces in the room is her chandelier – it’s adds a pretty statement but I love the natural look of the wood.

I’ve shared my Cozy Earth bedding obsession a few times but it’s really that good. Their bamboo comforter is an investment, but once you upgrade you will regret not doing so earlier. So good! I’ve seen lots of stories from those of you who bought it and love as much as I go. It’s actually on sale right now too on their semi-annual sale which I didn’t even realize until I went to grab a link haha. (Their bamboo sheet set is on sale too – love!)

While we were in our rental house (while our current home was being built) Cody and I had just a simple bed frame that didn’t have a headboard. I didn’t realize how much I would miss having an upholstered headboard but once we moved into our new place, this bed was one of our first new furniture additions. I love the color and it’s super comfortable. It was a really good price point and a spontaneous purchase, so part of me thought it might end up in a guest room  but we love it so much that it stuck!

RUG (SHADE: SLATE)

We went with a really oversized rug in our bedroom to bring some some texture and warmth to the wood floors in our room, but what really made the biggest difference is a thick, plush rug pad. We went with a really thick one and there’s no better feeling when your feet first touch the floor in the morning and sink into something so soft!

GOLD MIRROR

Not necessarily cozy, but this mirror is one of my favorite pieces in our room. It brings so much light reflecting from our windows and the mornings I’m woken up by sunrise reflecting around the room are always my favorite!

We are still trying to figure out landscaping for our backyard – so many of you guys weighed in on the pool debate so now it’s back in the running, haha. But we felt like we weren’t taking advantage of our backyard space, so when I found this cute kids’ patio set on sale I thought it would be the perfect solution. We had some left over gravel from another landscaping project, so we put it down to buy us some time before we decide if we are doing a pool area, pavers, grass, etc. I love the color combo and it’s all good quality but still lightweight so the kids can move it around easily. Both Cody and I still sit on it, even though its kids sizes, so it’s become a fun new hang out spot in the backyard. There’s no better way to break it in than with some yummy snacks. Mara usually loves playing server but all the kids loved hanging out on their new patio set while I put together some snacks for them.

I found some cute outdoor pieces for 4th of July – loved these striped and checkered napkins and got these reusable straws which are perfect for a backyard BBQ or any festive celebrations.  Also linking to our outfits and other cute summer pieces below. Love this denim dress and it’s on sale under $50 right now. Also was shocked to find this swimsuit on such major sale! Obsessed with all the colors and prints!

We added an ottoman next to the bath months after we moved in and I can’t recommend it enough especially if you have kids!

We had this custom art made for our bathroom, but she is actually selling prints of it now in her shop. She is a super talented local artist in Utah her name is Christie Adelle. You guys know how much we love the sunset and the beach so I love bringing that little piece of joy into our space when we are relaxing each night.

Hi guys! Excited to share our master bath reveal! We actually shot it in early February, before all of the quarantine stuff hit. I was planning on posting early March but with everything going on it didn’t feel like the right time so here we are months later 🙂

Our bathroom is one of my favorite rooms in our house. There’s nothing better than taking a long, hot bath with a view of the valley! Cody and I both wanted a really big tub, we love to take baths. It’s a great size it can actually fit us both and Cody is over 6ft. I take a bath almost every single night in the winter, a little less in the summer just because it gets so hot, but I love that quiet time so much. I light a bunch of candles dim, down the lights, and relax with a magazine and tea on my bath tray. One of the main focal points in the space is this beautiful chandelier. I can’t imagine our bathroom now without it.– so stunning! And then did these beautiful brass sconces on our vanity to match it.

One of our main starting points was the vanity – I loved the European look of the metal legs and we found this amazing company, Palmer Industries, and they were so amazing to work with. I always want to call out the super great companies cause it makes all the difference. Everything is completely customizable, the color, style, shelves if you are building to check out their stuff! I love how they turned out and it makes the bathroom feel really open. To make up for the lack of closed storage with the vanity, we did large vanity cabinets. I love all the shelving in there.

For almost all the tile in our house, we used Bedrosians. Another amazing company we worked with. The shower we wanted to do contrasting sizes, so did small 1×1 square tiles on the floor and brought that pattern up on to the wall tile in the shelves, and had these inset shelves installed by Bedrock Quartz (who also did our fireplace). The large slabs for the shower walls (also Bedrosians) are one of my favorite parts of the space, we looked at so many different pieces and the way these ended up lining up – I’m obsessed. It’s four large sheets of porcelain, it looks like giant slabs of marble but more affordable alternative if you want to save a little.

Last but not least wanted to talk about our faucets. We decided to mix metals in our bathroom which I love how it turned out. Our hardware and lighting is brass, and all our faucets are polished nickel. We went through so many options before we finally settled on all of the Polished Nickel finishes from Brizo. A majority of our faucets in our home are from Brizo (you can see them in our kitchen reveal here too) Their pieces are so beautiful and brought in the perfect luxe European feel I wanted to incorporate into space. I especially love the widespread faucet on our vanity faucets. Their polished nickel has the tiniest bit of warmth to it so it flows perfectly with the other brass finishes in the space.

Special shout out to Erin Hansen our interior designer, she was so patient and really helped bring the things I loved to live. She is so great and putting everything together to make a space feel unified!

If there’s one thing I’ve come to believe about buying things for your home, it’s what a difference little luxuries make. Today I want to share some of my favorite bathtime luxuries that will have you looking forward to your next chance to relax and unwind at home.

1. First and foremost, nice towels! I feel like this one is a progression, when you start with a regular bath towel you don’t know what you’re missing, but gradually as you invest in softer, plusher, and thicker towels you realize you can never go back. There’s nothing better than a feeling of a soft, new towel after taking bath in the winter (try throwing it in the dryer so it’s warm when you get out too and it’s a double win). I just added these Kohler towels to our bathroom. Our tub is Kohler and I’m a big fan of the brand, so I was excited to hear they were launching a linens collection! Their towels are 100% Turkish cotton and really high quality, and I love the texture and subtle pattern to spice up towels since I usually keep it neutral with whites. We got the standard bath towels but also a handful of the oversized bath sheets so you can really wrap yourself when you get out of the tub.
2. A bathtub tray. I am the type that loves to camp out in the tub and relax for a lonnnnng minute. Just add some magazines, a relaxing candle, and your favorite bath products and it’s spa time.
3. Yummy soaps and scents. I am a sucker for good hand soap! I love exploring new scents. I just got this Blush Floral collection for our bathroom and completely underestimated how much I like having matching labels throughout.  I love the pretty black and floral accent it adds to the room!
4. A cozy robe. Bathtime in the winter is a nightly routine for me, and one of the simplest pleasures is having a robe hanging up waiting for me. These are sooo soft! (And would also make an amazing gift for any of you last minute shoppers ;).
5. Fresh Flowers. Last but not least, fresh flowers! It might not be a staple, but I love having fresh blooms around the house when I can. It’s the final touch to bring that effect of a spa to your bathroom.

I’m excited to share our cozy basement family room. We have a living room upstairs and then a more casual family room hang out spot downstairs. When we picked out furniture for that space I knew I wanted an oversized, comfortable sectional to keep that space feeling homey. I found this one from Joss & Main and immediately loved it. We got in in the ‘Conversational Ivory’ color and it’s super comfortable and fits the whole family, and then some. Can’t recommend it enough! The ends also recline out which is an extra bonus!

Our family room has a view of the kitchenette and theatre room which we did in a deep blueish/green, so I knew I wanted to keep our living room pretty neutral, plus it makes a really versatile, neutral palette that you can transform with season accessories (i.e. all our holiday decor!). I loved this black console table and it fit our TV wall perfectly, plus it has great storage for games and remotes. We also got these pretty leather armchairs – I love the warm tones they add to the space!

Love these NBA sheets, sometimes I feel like patterned sheets can get cheesy but I love these!

We’ve had this little grey chair for years! They make the best lounge chairs – and they are great for playrooms and watching movies the kids take it everywhere in the house! You can customize and put their name on them or their initials – They are on sale right now too – make great gifts!

Wes is super artistic, and loves to take pictures and videos, so we found some old school cameras for his room I was really excited about.

I love collecting books for the kids – Pottery Barn kids has some of the best unique kids books. I usually get them one from there every Christmas. Wes picked out this cute shark one this summer.

One by one, we are finally putting the finishing touches on different spaces in the house! Wes room was the first kids room to be completely done so it has for sure become the kids’ favorite spot in the house – it’s the new hang out spot, for sure.

Wes loves basketball and skateboarding, so over the last year we have been collecting different pieces for his room.  This neon basketball light was one of Wes’ favorite things about the room and I also love this LED basketball hoop. He is at that in-between age where he’s not really a teen yet, so we got a mix of products between Pottery Barn Kid and Teen, and I love how it turned out! It’s versatile enough that all the decor can grow and transition as he does. They have tons of cool decor accent pieces to bring a personal touch to a room. Wes’ favorite team right now is the Golden State Warriors and favorite player is, like every 10-12 year old right now, Steph Curry haha. We also got this customizable grey jersey throw at PBTeen and it’s super soft and comes with tons of team options and it’s also on sale right now under $40 (gift idea alert! ;).

This bed is Wes’ other favorite piece in the room. When Mara and Wes are with us, Beckam loves to have sleepovers in their rooms so I knew I wanted a queen bed. I also love all the extra storage it has. All of his clothes fit in his closet, but I feel like no matter how much space kids have, something always finds it’s way to the floor so I love having these drawers available to store some of the messes  and also storage for their car tracks and stuff. We also got this sectional couch as a hang out spot for when his friends or cousins are hanging out.

The last touches that we added were all the wall decor pieces and I was honestly surprised at what a difference it makes! My favorites are probably this LA license plate sign (we love going to LA as a family and dream about moving there one day!) and this triptych basketball print. It’s a great way to fill up an empty space if you have a long wall you need to fill.
