DETAILS: AVEENO ULTRA CALMING MOISTURIZER

I’m so excited to be teaming up with Aveeno and PEOPLE magazine to go make up free for today’s post. I think embracing our natural beauty is so important and such a beautiful expression of who we are. I know that sounds so cheesy, but within your natural beauty and imperfections you find individuality. I know it can be intimidating, at least for me somedays it is. I’ve caught myself being like yikes I need make up today 🙂 but I’ve found simple things like a great moisturizer make such a difference. I love this Aveeno one to help with redness so you don’t have to worry about skipping foundation because there really is nothing better for our skin and confidence then just letting your natural beauty shine. Here’s why:

  1. I love makeup, but sometimes it can distract from (or cover up completely!) your natural features that make you unique and beautiful. Whether it’s those freckles or bare lashes, sometimes it’s those things you try to cover up that make you beautiful.
  2. Just because you might think you look better with a face full of makeup doesn’t mean everyone agrees. Cody has always preferred when I go bare-faced, so when I do tone down my beauty routine he’s always the first to notice.
  3. The no-makeup beauty look is everywhere right now and hands down the one look everyone can master! With the fresh face look having such a moment right now, it’s the best time to embrace your natural beauty and skip your makeup routine altogether. Being happy with who you are and letting yourself shine through is the key to confidence. Ok ok, I know it sounds cheesy and like something you would read on your local newspaper’s horoscope, but it’s true! Learn to love yourself and everyone else will too. True beauty starts within 🙂

Aveeno and PEOPLE magazine are opening the contest for everyone to enter and it’s really easy – just upload a picture of what natural beauty means to you with #PEOPLENaturalBeautyContest. The winner gets to be featured in the PEOPLE World’s Most Beautiful issue. Full details here  – good luck and can’t wait to see some selfies!

Going makeup free is one of my favourite things but I always slap on a good moisturiser before stepping outside x

You look beautiful without make-up! The pix with your little are adorable as well! My husband also loves it when I don’t wear anything and often asks me to “go light.” Sometimes it’s a challenge, but realizing just how beautiful we are simply is very freeing. Love the post! Thanks for sharing.

I like days when I can be without make-up at home and I really enjoy that. On the other hand, I love make-up just because it´s my addiction and I can play with different make-up looks every time I go somewhere. I also can go out without make-up, but I need to have my brows done at least, because they are too light and thin… 🙂

I used to go makeup-free pretty often at my old job, but my new job is client facing. Today I didn’t wear makeup, so I was so happy to come across this! Sometimes your skin needs a break!

Beautiful post! I love following your blog. I can tell just by the way you are with your family, you write such wonderful posts. You are beautiful inside and out! Makeup or not. 🙂

You look so beautiful with bare face. I rarely go with bare fave, but on the other hand I never put on foundation or concealer and anything I feel that cover up my face. I only put blusher and mascara and a natural shade of lip stick.

I actually love this post. I’ve been so torn recently because I’ve been trying to find “chemical free” make up. I’ve tried Tarte, Beauty Counter, and bare minerals…all not amazing on me. Today I’m back on my normal Chanel/bobbi brown routine which feels good but honestly I’m almost just ready to do a make up free day.

Let my skin breathe and take a break! You look so stunning without make up!

About a year ago Austin and I were driving down south to visit his family and we left at like 5 am so i didn’t put any make up on. we were almost there and i was like oh shit! i totally forgot to do my make up, he said ” oh – i thought you did – you look great” he probably doesn’t even remember saying it, but it’s so nice when youre hubbs actually notices the difference and loves it!!

Hope you guys have a great time in Cabo! xo
