I’ve had these sneakers for years and they are hands down the most comfortable sneakers I own. They are a running shoe so I’m sure that has something to do with it haha but I love wearing them out and about for running errands in a sportswear look or going to the gym. On a random personal note, I took Ollie down to the train this week. He’s obsessed with trucks, trains, garbage cans – anything that’s big and loud. This is one of my favorite stages. They are so excited and inquisitive about everything. Little things, big things, they just appreciate every little moment. I love seeing him excited but also a little nervous so he has to stay close to me or hold my leg so he has that reassurance as he sees and explores new things.  I heard this on a Tiktok video this week and it stuck out to me so much. It was talking about how we say little things each day like we can’t wait for _____ – Can’t wait for our kids to be out of diapers, for the week to be over so we can relax on weekend, can’t wait for Christmas, can’t wait, can’t wait… BUT:

“Life is not short. We waste it. We waste it hoping for things to come, we waste it complaining, we waste it with grudges. Your life is now. Now is your life. There is no replacement for this moment you are in. Live your life and love it! Never wish away a minute of it. You will never get this moment back”

It made me stop in my tracks and think how many times I say little things like that instead of appreciating the moment I’m in. So this is your reminder to stop worrying about what’s ahead and enjoy the moment you’re in.

Over the years my sneaker collection has gradually overtaken my heel collection. My favorite workout sneakers of all time are hands down every variation of my adidas UltraBOOSTs. I have multiple pairs of the UltraBOOSTs and the UltraBOOST Xs and wear them all on repeat. I just got this pair in white and wore them all over Park City this past weekend. They are really lightweight and have a boost cushioning for extra support so it feels like you’re walking/running on air.

I also ordered this sweat set from Finish Line – I love borrowing from the boys! Especially in loungewear and sweats, I’m loving the oversized fit so I ordered a size medium in this sweatshirt and small in joggers. Also love the oversized hoodie over biker shorts! Tennis date night! Nothing like bonding while breaking a sweat 🥰

Date nights have been a little bit different lately for everyone – not your typical dinner and a movie. Cody and I have been trying to switch things up a bit and put our heads together to get creative. Dates are so important, and even more so now! A lot of couples are spending more time than ever, but rubbing elbows working in a confined space together, helping out with chores around the house, etc. is way different than quality, date time together. One thing Cody & I have been trying to do lately is get outside and be active for our dates. I’ve actually loved it more than your usual date because we really focus on each other more and feels great to take advantage of beautiful days by moving around!

Couples who workout together stay together right? The other day we decided to dust off our tennis rackets and go get a little competitive. Cody is the most athletic person I know – he is so good at everything he tries, which makes it impossible to really compete with him haha but it’s fun to try. It was such a fun memory too, so I wanted to put together some other active date ideas to try:

1. Rollerblading.
2. Pool Olympics. Our kids insist on getting in on this one!
3. Basketball. I grew up playing basketball, so I get a little more competitive with Cody on this one, haha.
4. Garage sale challenge. A great way to minimize your home too – see who can gather the most objects!
5. Take a new workout class together.
6. Physical fitness test.  A blast from the past – did anyone else have to do physical fitness tests in elementary school?
7. Outdoor ninja warrior course. The set up is just as fun as actually running the course, not to mention watching each other attempt it haha.
8. Scavenger hunt. Have you and your partner create one then compare whose was the most fun!
9. Pickleball. A must try if you haven’t ever played – so fun.
10. Evening hike. Build a bonfire when you get to your destination!
11. Minute to win it challenges. Pinterest has great MTW ideas!
12. Croquet. This is one of my fams all-time favs!
13. Geocaching. Download the app or look up a nearby geocache online!
14. Teach each other something new.
15. Nerf fun war. The kids love to get in on this one too!
16. DIY mini-golf course. Try and see how complicated you can make each hole.
17. Fishing.
18. Make a Time Capsule. I love these so much- it’s so fun to go back and look at how much you’ve changed over the years.
19. Tennis.
20. Try a 2 person fitness challenge. We love to do team sit up with Ollie! He loves it so much!

Hey guys, I’m sorry I have been so bad with blog posts the last week. We are having issues getting high res images to upload, its driving me bonkers, but they are supposed to be getting it fixed this week fingers crossed! I have a couple home posts I am so excited to share but I want to be able t have the images not be blurry!

We are still living in loungewear. I got these looks a couple months ago for the fam, When you start adding some of your favorite loungewear to your cart and end up with a full family look. 😂 I almost died when I saw these cute baby Superstars for Ollie and then got so excited to find him an infant Adidas set (okay, I might’ve ended up with this one too – so cute!). If you’ve seen any of my posts lately, you know that you don’t have to talk me into a comfy sweatshirt or pair of joggers – these are actually men’s joggers, I just sized down to a small in bottoms for that oversized look (also got a couple men’s sweatshirts in a size M, but will also be stealing Cody’s. 😉 Also got these grey joggers and love the logo pattern!

The older I get, the more I appreciate good loungewear. Not only does a cozy, oversized sweater and jogger combo make for the perfect outfit to wear for a day at home, but you can also split them up and wear them out as separates. It’s been a while since I’ve done a 5 things post, so here we go. ❤️

1. I’m officially in my third trimester! 💫The first trimester was rough, second trimester honestly just felt really up and down – I was emotional and not myself. The end of the second trimester and beginning of my third, I have been loving! I definitely feel very pregnant, but I love feeling the baby kick. I kind of know what to expect when I’m going to get heartburn and when my back will start hurting, but I’ve just felt connected these last couple weeks, more so than the rest of my pregnancy. I’m loving this stage right now!
2. I watched season 3 of Stranger Things and fell asleep in almost every other episode. I loooved the first two seasons but felt like this season they had too many things going on and it felt more depressing. 🤷🏼‍♀️
3. I’m in a major nesting phase. I really love being home right now!
4. As I get ready for baby to come, I’ve been wanting to stock up on comfy clothes Especially because I’m due in the fall, I know we will be hibernating more. A lot of my old loungewear and bras are too small so I ordered a few new bras from Jockey (I have like 3 off their sports bras and love them!) They are so comfortable. They are from the Jockey Forever Fit Collection and all of the pieces in the collection have the support of a bra but all the comfort of a bralette. They all have a stretchy infinity underband and are wire-free like bralettes, but they also have the hook and eye closure like a standard bra so you can get the perfect fit. I got this one in white and also love this teal option. Also have to mention these grey sweats I got too because they are the softest, comfiest thing every. Probably going to be living in those.
5. I keep waking up in the middle of the night craving pancakes. Especially McDonald’s pancakes 🥞but I haven’t had any weird pregnancy cravings, like random things paired together like they talk about in movies – I haven’t experienced this with either of my pregnancies actually. Did you guys?

Happy Wednesday! It has been sooo cold in Utah the last couple of months but the last few weeks we’ve had some gorgeous sunny days. Is it just me or does the sun instantly make you feel so much better? I have been trying to mix up my routine as much as possible to stay active and soak up those rays even if it’s still chilly!  I feel so much better when I get outside, even if it means just going for a 10 minute walk or jog.

I just got these cute workout clothes from Under Armour.  They have lots of pretty new arrivals in bright colors, which is on trend for Spring/Summer. These HeatGear leggings keep me sucked in and feeling warm enough to move outside and I love this pretty blue jacket. I got these UA Charged Rogue shoes to coordinate with my jacket. How pretty is the color!

What motivates you to stay active in the cold winter months?  For me its the sunshine but mostly bright cheery new clothes 😉 I can’t wait for Spring!

Hey guys! We look forward to our annual summer vacation all year long and now that it’s here I am just wishing it would never end! Everything has been like something straight out of a dream! I got tons of questions on my airport outfit so I wanted to share details! We had a red eye to London, but I knew we were going to jump right in once we landed so I loved this pretty sportswear combo with these white sneakers. A denim jacket is a great travel layer, not just for the plane but to throw on and go once you reach your destination! I am obsessed with these leggings – super comfortable and such a pretty color! Hey you guys! You probably already know by now but I love all things bright and pastel when it comes to athleisure. I just bought these sneakers and I absolutely love them! They are from the kids section but since they run big, most people will be able to fit in them still. I am normally a size 7.5-8 and the kids size 5 fits me perfectly.

This duffel bag is also perfect for the gym and on the go! Hi from NYC! Cody is working as the brand ambassador for Westin (so proud of him!) so we are in NY for the next couple days for an event. Normally flying is a breeze and doesn’t phase me. Yesterday we were stuck on the tarmac for an hour and half before we took off because of weather in nyc. We were in the very last row with no window and I was getting major anxiety lol. Like claustrophobic feeling times 100. Usually Cody is the one who gets anxiety but it was totally me yesterday lol.

I got these sneakers earlier this week I’m obsessed with the colors. They are my new favorites and under $100! My other travel staple is a good baseball hat and I’m obsessed with this one. It’s felt so it’s a little different from anything else I own and I love the soft shade of grey, it goes with everything! Who else LOVES sugar! I used to drink a Coke almost everyday. Every morning I would have a chai latte from Starbucks, and every night I would eat a bowl of my favorite sugary cereal before bed. Sugar was a major part of my life!

The reason I started this 14 Day No Sugar Challenge had nothing to do with fitness but was actually because I am obsessed with skincare, skincare products, how to improve your skin, anything and everything, I just love to learn and read about it. I had been reading all these articles about how sugar and processed foods affect so many aspects of your body, one of the main ones being wrinkles and aging your face. It was early December when I came across the article, but I knew there was NO WAY I would make it through the holidays without sugar so I pushed it aside and decided to wait until the new year. January 1st hit and I decided to go 14 days with NO SUGAR! I posted it on my Instagram so I had extra accountability to do it and so many of you guys chimed in with ideas and your favorite snacks to make it happen.

Let me put one disclaimer out there. I did no major artificial sugars, so I still had honey, fruit, yogurt – I was staying away from the major things like pop, candy, cookies, sugary cereals, sugary lattes, processed junk food (I know it’s not sugar but just junk food in general – basically stuff I knew was bad for you). Below is my no sugar diary – if you want to skip past my blabbering I give some tips and and ideas at the bottom and what my overall outcome was.

DAY 1 & 2:

The first two days weren’t that big a deal. I definitely thought about it but had that beginning motivation of “I got this!” which made it easy to fight through the little headaches and tired spells.

DAY 3-7:

The next couple days were when it started to get rough! I got bad headaches, felt agitated, super tired, felt like an addict noticing sugar EVERYWHERE we went. You know when you’re not supposed to have something so all you do is think about it. Ya, that was happening! I was really craving a fizzy soda and posted about it on my stories and a bunch of you recommended Le Croix. Mara picked out the flavors it was strawberry something and you know the burning feeling from the bubbles when you drink pop it kind of gave that effect so it filled my void for the need for pop.

DAY 7 CONFESSION:

Cody and I were driving to Spaghetti Factory, chatting away listening to music, and he’s eating a bag of cinnamon bears totally not thinking I reach my hand in the bang, grab one and take a bite. I’m like dannnng this tastes SO GOOD WHY?! And then mid chew it hit me- I was like crap it’s sugar!! Ahhh!!! I started yelling ” HURRY babe roll down the window I gotta spit this out!!!” I didn’t swallow it and it was 100% an accident so I feel like it’s not a true cheat lol 🙂

DAY 8:

Headed on a flight to Miami and it was super weird because I ALWAYS get Twizzler nibs for the flight. We fly quite a bit so it was so weird my body like wanted to go through the motions at the airport and get my snack foods, but mentally I had stop myself a couple times. Habitually I ordered Ginger Ale, because I have that or Coke on every flight but then the second she handed it to me it was like oh ya I’m not drinking pop so I handed it back to her and switched out for water.

DAY 9 – 11:

Was in Miami and luckily my friends with me are pretty healthy eaters, I found this place that had all organic fruit pops that were like popsicles but just with fresh fruit! They were super yummy and I got a kiwi strawberry one.

DAY 12-14: HOME STRETCH!

I got home from Miami and my best friend flew into town. We stalked up on a bunch of snacks for the kids and Beckam picked one of my all time favorite POWDERED DONUTS! – yes im realizing this is basically turning into a diary of all the sugary things I missed. I opened the bag to give one to B and they smelt SO GOOD. It literally took everything in me not to take one. My friend was like just do it your a day away you seriously did so good already and I was like I can’t, I’ve come this far I have to do ONE MORE DAY! And I know it sounds so dumb but when I finally finished knowing I really really made it and set my mind to something and actually did it felt SO GOOD!

I DID IT!

It was literally a celebration when Day 14 came! I was so excited to have some sort of treat! Yes it was powdered donuts lol, and of course a Coke. But what was weird is usually I can drink a full Coke no big deal I only had a couple sips and was kind of over it. I wasn’t as into as I used to be, and I didn’t even crave my chai lattes anymore! But let’s be honest the donuts tasted like heaven 😉

So I wanted to share some tips and pointers from what I learned:

SUBSTITUTES:

Milk: I  made the switch from regular milk to almond milk, and surprisingly didn’t even miss normal milk that much. On average one cup of milk has about 10-12 grams of sugar, whereas most almond milks contain no sugar at all.

Soda: On a couple occasions I had really bad cravings for soda, so I turned to drinking zero sugar drinks like La Croix instead. They’re not necessarily my favorite drinks ever, but the carbonation helped to curb the cravings.

When it came to snacks, I loved almonds, apple slices, protein shakes, etc. I also probably ate eggs way more than ever. Scrambled egg whites, egg sandwiches, avocado toast with eggs, really egg anything I like.

EATING OUT:

If you’re going to attempt any sort of lifestyle or diet change it’s probably unrealistic to say that you’ll never eat at your favorite restaurants, drinks or desserts. Something that helped me a lot was one of my friends told me you could look up restaurants menus and nutrition facts online. Nowadays most restaurants include dietary information on their websites which is extremely helpful and insightful. For example a lot of times I thought a salad off the menu would have the least amount of sugar compared to everything else, but most the time was completely wrong! What I would do is look up those facts online for wherever we were planning on eating so that I would know ahead of time what I would be ordering so that I could still stick to my plan.

For example, you can plan your no-sugar Starbucks run in advance with their nutrition information here. It definitely takes a little more planning, but so worth it!

WHAT I LEARNED:

Since the two weeks have been over I’ve been much more aware of sugar and how prevalent it is in the foods we eat. Since the challenge,  I still have my occasional chai lattes and cold Coke, but I’ve cut my overall sugar down SO much. I’m trying to limit myself to two days a week of having a cheat item, and honestly the weeks I don’t limit myself and just eat whatever (it’s been almost 2 months since I finished), I notice a huge change in my energy and overall feelings.

I noticed more changes (for the good) in my body those two weeks of no sugar than ever before! Not to say that working out isn’t important because I started going to the gym a lot more during this too, but sometimes I forget that what we’re eating is what plays the biggest role in how our bodies react and change.

My reason for starting this was out of the intention to be a little healthier and feel better overall, but in the end I realized this was WAY more of a mental challenge than a physical one. If you read my daily diary above you know day thirteen when I was opening a bag of powdered donuts for B it literally took everything in me to resist. At that point I knew one donut wouldn’t ruin everything, but I wanted to push myself and prove to myself that I could stick to my guns. So many times during these two weeks I was pushed to the breaking point of giving in. Once it was over I was so proud of myself for pushing through and it was a good reminder that I really can do anything I set my mind too, and that we’re all stronger than we think. I know this sounds cheesy but I feel like it’s helped me have a stronger mental focus in other areas of my life as well. Does anyone know what I’m talking about? I feel like it’s so hard to really explain.

Also I had originally set out to do this for skin improvements and one of the girls who does my makeup a lot came over for a shoot and she was like your skin seems tighter under your eyes have you been doing something different? And I was so excited she saw a difference! She had no idea I was on the sugar challenge and she’s someone who is constantly looking at my skin so I was excited to see it actually worked!

I’m such a sucker for strappy sports bras. Most sportswear pieces are pretty simple silhouettes, so you get to have the most fun with pretty sports bras – love this one (comes in 12 colors)! Also, even better with this tie-back tank to show off the back detail. Love the combo and the cool spattered print on this tank (comes in 3 colors).

These are the most comfortable Lululemon leggings I have ever owned!! They don’t have a hem at the bottom which I never realized made such a difference. And love the pockets! I never realized how useful pockets were in workout pants until now. Seriously, I can’t recommend these enough and tell all my friends about them.

If you guys follow much on stories, you know I started 2 weeks of no sugar – not to lose weight but just be healthier overall and see if I have more energy and feel better throughout the day.  I had literally eaten SO MUCH junk food through the holidays! The first few days were rough! I was so tired, had no energy, and had dark circles under my eyes. It’s definitely gotten easier since the first couple days and I’ve started finding new things I can eat that satisfy my cravings without caving. (I just cut artificial sugar, so natural sugars like fruits were ok :).

I’ve also started going back to the gym. I was so slammed with work for the last 3 months that I really slacked, and even when I would try to do workouts at home, I would get distracted and not push myself as hard. It seriously feels so good getting back into it! I found a bunch of new sportswear pieces (is that the best motivation for anyone else?? 😂) that got me so excited to start getting back into my routine. I’m obsessed with these Nike Metcon 4’s (comes in 4 colors)! Love the pretty blush colorblock detail and how cute are the polka dot laces? Also got these Nike Free Flyknits which are on sale right now for under $100 and comes in 10 colors. This logo cropped tank was another one of my favorite buys.  It’s the perfect middle ground between just a sports bra and a regular top. I also stocked up on warm layers to wear to and from the gym and this one is soo cozy. I’m probably in sportswear 70% of the time, whether I’m working out or not, so I’m a sucker for comfy layers. I also got these joggers in both grey and black and they are another great piece for the gym or loungewear for lazy days. I found this matching Nike Tech Fleece sweatsuit for Beckam too and I’m obsessed (and same with these mini Nike Huarache sneakers)! Slash it also makes him look like a big kid and I almost can’t handle it!

By now, most of you probably know I grew up a serious tomboy, loved sports, and was convinced I was going to be the first woman quarterback in the NFL. I grew up watching football with my family every Sunday after church. My family loved to have people over so it was always an event with my cousins or friends. To be honest, we grew up huge Seahawk fans, so they are probably disowning me after reading this post and seeing me in my Patriots gear 🙂 but Cody is a big Tom Brady fan so I supposed both. 🙂 Now that Beckam is getting old enough to want to throw the “baseball” outside (he keeps confusing baseballs and footballs 😉 it’s becoming a family affair. Watching the big game is always a great way to bring friends and family together, so I wanted to share a few things you need for hosting a game-day at your place!

1. Team Pride! Go Patriots! (Unless they are playing the Seahawks 😉 Donning your fan gear immediately gets you in the spirit! Macy’s has this collection of game-day pieces by Alyssa Milano and I’m obsessed with the vintage looking sweaters! Usually fan apparel means oversized graphic tees or jerseys, so I love that this NFL collection has these more feminine stylish options to support my teams!

2. An abundance of food. Most football games run over 3 hours so you’ll definitely want to make sure you have plenty of options for people to snack on. My stepmom’s cheeseball recipe is my favorite plus it’s super quick and easy. You can also stagger some snacks (or even pizza delivery) for a good half-time break.

3. The Pregame. Half the fun of a football viewing party is the pregame (hello tailgating!). Play a pick-up game of football outside before the game to get your energy pumping or board games with friends!

4. Good friends. What’s a football game without someone to watch it with? Invite your friends over to cheer with you and your team (or even better – friends that are cheering for the opposite team to bring that competitive spirit to life ;).

5. Lose yourself in the game. Disconnect from your phone while they game is on and have fun cheering with your S/O!

When I was a kid, I was a big tomboy and lived and breathed basketball from kindergarten through high school. I practically lived in Nike and Adidas. Even as an adult I still get excited for new sportswear pieces. Black and white are so versatile and timeless, they are always the easiest to mix and match together so I wanted to share a few different pieces you need in your closet that you can wear to the gym, for travel style, or just because, hey, sportswear pieces are comfy and cute.

1. A graphic sports bra: I can’t be the only one who dreads putting on a bra! Sport bras are a good compromise haha they are really comfortable and add a sporty look to any outfit. Love this white graphic option and love the zip detail and back of this one.
2. Joggers: You guys know how addicted I am to joggers – I practically live in them, whether I’m lounging around the house, traveling, or running errands. I love the logoed stripe on this pair – they are so different from anything else I own. I also got this matching hoodie for a fresh take on the tracksuit which is going to be big this season.
3. A transitional layer: I’m obsessed with all the colorblocked windbreaker options out right now! Love this one in white and it also comes in multiple colors here. They are an easy piece to throw on and take off, which makes it the perfect layer, especially as we transition into fall.
4. Shorts that make you love your legs: I am kind of picky when it comes to athletic shorts. The ones with a curved hem are always more flattering so I’m always on the lookout. I love this pair I found that comes in 5 colors and the trim gives it a throwback feel that is coming back this season.
5. Sneakers: Last but not least, sneakers!! I have a serious obsession with them, but I wear them all the time so I don’t feel too guilty about it. 🙂 A good neutral sneaker will never go out of style so I always stock up on good black and white styles when I find a good pair I like. I own this style in at least 4 colors – they are the perfect balance between sporty and chic.

I have been on serious pink binge lately – it’s such a good color to brighten your wardrobe. I ordered these pink slides a few weeks ago and it took me a while to track them down in my size but they just got restocked here. Also love them in blue.
