It can be easy to grab your usual handbag or clutch out of habit or convenience. If it still has your wallet, lipstick, and keys in it, it is probably your first choice – but only because it saves you the hassle of swapping your essentials to another bag. Although it is so easy to fall into a routine, a clutch (like any accessory) can completely change your look so it shouldn’t be an afterthought. Once I saw this velvet clutch I knew it was a statement piece that would make an outfit. Deep reds have been my favorite shades this season, so the luxe velvet material in such a rich hue made it an obvious choice. I’m also crushing over this clutch and this gorgeous beaded one, next on my wish list!
