DETAILS: WIFEY TEE (15% OFF CODE: ILY15 – WEARING SIZE SMALL) || GREY DENIM || WHITE BLAZER || PINK PUMPS || SUNGLASSES

I’ve worn the wifey shirt on the blog before, so instead of a typical outfit post I thought we could have a girls moment. There’s nothing better than being married to your best friend, but that doesn’t mean you should always treat your significant other like a BFF. As time passes, it’s easy to get “too comfortable” and forget to keep things spicy. Remember the days when you first met and your legs were always shaved, you always tried to look cute, and you got ready like every day. Well fast forward a little and have an honest moment with yourself. We get lazy! So take a few minutes and surprise him with a little something something. Below are a couple easy ways to spice things up:

1. Sleep naked – Ditch the pj’s, there is nothing better than a little skin on skin.

2. Save water – shower together. Surprise him while he’s in the shower and hop in with him.

3. Do the dishes in lingerie (or any house chore!).

4. Close the door when you pee! Salvage some of the mystery and close the bathroom door.

5. Love your body. Be sexy and confident in your own skin. When your confident you always look more beautiful.

6. Kiss him like you mean it. We all have the quick good bye and hello pecks but stop and hold his face for a long one.

What are some of your favorite things for keeping your relationship exciting?

We are running a promo at ILY this week for 15% off apparel: CODE: ILY15.  You can see some of the shirts I’ve styled here: the birthday girl tee, wifey tee, and retail therapy.

XOX,
Christine

Lingerie always is a nice surprise if it isn’t over done! I’m going on a trip and plan to pack just lingerie, no pajamas. Should be a week of fun! 😉

I completely agree with your suggestions, especially #4! There’s no need to share EVERYTHING with each other. #5 and #6 are also great advice!

I like having my man’s favorite cocktail made for him when he gets home! That always seems to make him happy, and he loves knowing I was thinking about him! 🙂

I grab his butt. Although I’m not sure if that’s a “surprise” since I do it on the regular. 🙂

Cute post. I’m not married but in my relationship I’m mindful to have my own thoughts and my own life.

My boyfriend is an ex-Harvard hockey player, football loving, finance exec guy (alpha male). When first meeting I thought he’d have little emotion, little affection & wanted a meek girl. I was totally wrong. He really likes that I have my own point of view and that I have a life outside of our relationship. I think subconsciously it makes him want me more.

For example, we celebrated a friends bday at the NoMad Hotel bar this past Saturday. A bunch of friends were there. Did I stick by his side? No. I was talking with everyone. What ended up happeneing? He kept coming over to whisper, “you didn’t forget about me did you”…. “is he flirting with you”…. and “you girls are being really silly over here”. I couldn’t believe it, it was really cute.

Every guy is different so take my experience with a grain of salt. I feel, if you know yourself, you know your partner, you’ll know it’s those little things that keep the spice simmering.
