Omg right after we shot this Cody and I realized it has been SO LONG since we’ve done a true outfit together. We used to do them weekly and it’s just been so busy lately I miss shooting with this cute guy. 😉

If there’s one thing I’ve learned about building a wardrobe it’s that you should always invest in those closet staples that you will wear forever. ALWAYS DENIM, outerwear, and core style sweaters, bags – pieces that you can wear over and over again. I feel like you get to a certain point (after testing out so many different styles) when you discover your own aesthetic (although I feel personal style is always evolving) and you know your taste well enough to be able to start investing in those pieces.

AG has been one of my favorite brands forever. I would say over 50% of all my denim is AG! It was the first pair of ‘designer’ jeans I ever bought right after high school and saved for months to get them (less eating out more top ramen 😉 college priorities!) When Cody and I started dating it was the first designer pair I bought for him as well! Their denim is so stretchy and comfortable and they last forever. You guys all know I live in distressed jeans, this legging ankle jean is probably the most worn pair of jeans on my blog of all time! You’ve also seen this pair on my blog a lot recently (loving the wide leg trend!) and this black pair I just added (also got this high-waisted leatherette style). The cropped ankle styles are perfect for fall, especially when it comes to styling your ankle boots.  Also if you’re shopping for your man, this pair of denim I just got for Cody is his new favorite. It’s skinny and has subtle distresseding, I love them on him!

They also have so many great layers right now – I love texture on this white sweater and also got this grey one. All of their basics are so good and will last forever – I still have this cream cashmere sweater I bought from them 2-3 years ago that’s in perfect condition.  I also love their outerwear options right now – Cody and I both have multiple of their denim jackets and how amaaazing is this biker jacket??
