The Secret Layer to Elevate Your Spring Wardrobe
You guys know how much I love my oversized sweaters, comfy tees, and cozy staples. With the weather warming up, it’s the perfect time to start incorporating those peek-a-boo details into your spring wardrobe. The secret layer to elevating your look: intimates. Bralettes are such a fresh and easy piece to work into any look – from your favorite athleisure pieces to a dressy date night look. Below are 5 subtle ways to style them into your wardrobe.
obsessed with the straps on this bra.
LOOK 1: BLACK STRAPPY BRALETTE | BLACK LACE BRALETTE | WHITE V-NECK TANK (SIMILAR HERE) | BLACK JOGGERS (SIMILAR HERE) | SNEAKERS
CASUAL ATHLEISURE: It’s crazy how much of a difference a strappy bralette can make in even the most basic outfits! I got this black lace bralette from Bloomingdale’s and layered it with this strappy nylon bra. (I actually wore this one backwards because I love the look of the straps in front! It’s seriously SO SOFT and super comfortable – I’m obsessed!). Wear it with a deep V or scooped top paired with joggers and your favorite sneakers and you’re ready for a casual errand day or the gym.
LOOK 2: BLACK LACE BRALETTE | BLUE SLEEVELESS TOP (SIMILAR HERE) | BOYFRIEND DENIM (UNDER $100)
SUBTLE: For a really subtle way to show off a little lace, match your intimates to the straps on your top. I love how this one adds such a casual and flirty feel with a peek of lace showing.
LOOK 3: BLACK STRAPPY BRALETTE | SILK STRIPED BUTTON DOWN (SIMILAR HERE) | BOYFRIEND DENIM (UNDER $100)
OPEN BACK: Tops or dresses with a backless detail or a low back are probably the easiest pieces to pair with a pretty bralette. I love the unbuttoned top styled with a lacy or strappy intimate piece, but for a more conservative spin on the combo, wear a blouse backwards and unbuttoned to show off the back details of a pretty bralette.
LOOK 4: CALVIN KLEIN SPORTS BRA
(OPEN BACK PART II): I love Calvin Klein! I live in their sports bras. The retro 90’s logos are having a moment right now too, so an open back sweater is a great way to show the cute Calvin Klein band detail.
LOOK 4: WHITE LACE BRALETTE | BLACK MUSCLE TEE (STOLE FROM CODY – SIMILAR HERE) | CAMEL CARDIGAN (SIMILAR HERE) | BOYFRIEND DENIM (UNDER $100)
THE SWAP: Swap your sports bra out for a bralette! I love the unexpected feminine contrast of this one against this black muscle tee (that I stole from Cody). Some intimates are just too pretty to stay hidden haha so styling it like a sports bra gives you a lot of effortless outfit options to show them off. Layer it with a lightweight cardigan for a more conservative look.

I really love the way you styled all of these. Surprisingly the Calvin Klein one is my fave – I’m usually a girly-girl who goes for the lace, but I love the idea of making comfort fab 🙂
